Faculty members in STEM and social science fields who would like to improve their students’ field-specific writing are invited to participate in an innovative program sponsored by the Art of Writing and supported by a campus Reimagining Higher Education grant.
The Art of Writing team will work with faculty to embed Writing Fellows in their courses. Writing Fellows are trained undergraduate tutors who are conversant with a course’s content and who help their fellow students learn to write clearly and eloquently within the discipline.
Art of Writing identifies and trains Writing Fellows, helps faculty create writing assignments, and facilitates collaboration between faculty and Writing Fellows. Participating faculty members receive $1,000 in research funds.
