2018 Spring

Paul Fine & Isaac Marck

This course will introduce students to concepts and techniques for effective communication of scientific findings, both within the scientific community and to the general public. Students will learn to express themselves in a variety of formats, including systematic natural history observations in field journals, oral presentations, scientific reports, popular science writing, and advocacy pieces. The class will include experiential and inquiry-based learning. Students will go on field trips where they will record observations, develop a question, conduct research and communicate what they learn to their peers in oral and written form.
