Rebecca Egger is the associate director of Art of Writing and of its institutional home, the Townsend Center for the Humanities at UC Berkeley. She holds an AB in English and Art History from Brown University, and a PhD in English from Cornell University. She has served as assistant professor of English at the University of Michigan, where she specialized in modernist literature and visual culture, and as director of academic administration for the Division of Arts and Humanities at UC Berkeley. She has helped to grow Art of Writing since its founding in 2015, with a focus on fundraising, program development, and administrative infrastructure.
